Welcome !

The international research network (IRN) France-Japan "Frontiers in Plant Biology" gathers seasoned and young investigators who are eager to continuously structure and reinforce the collaborative research between multidisciplinary groups. This initiative fosters the exchange of ideas and cutting-edge experimental approaches in basic and applied plant biology.

The IRN organizes international meetings, promotes efficiently scientific participation of young and senior researchers, organize training sessions and scientific visits of PhD students and postdocs, and encourages the promotion joint research programs. The establishment of such international joint research projects has contributed to the production of valuable research outputs in terms of publications and further cooperartions.

The IRN France-Japan "Frontiers in Plant Biology" proposes an exciting Symposium 2025 at IBMP (Institut de biologie moléculaire des plantes) in Strasbourg, France, with a scientific program that will include the most recent advances in genomics, epigenetics, genome edition, development and cell biology, metabolic biology and metabolomics, photosynthesis, and other hot topics that enable new openings in basic as well as applied plant sciences.

The aim of the meeting is to create a forum for shared scientific endeavours in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, and represents also an excellent opportunity to highlight latest techniques, equipment or reagents, for instance new cell biology reagents and probes, methods of analyses, state-of-the-art genomic and metabolomic workflows, cell imaging, or techniques for studying gene expression, protein network organization and interactions, etc.
